What is the power of Shure's completely wireless "AONIC FREE"? Comparing it with Sony, Apple, and Sennheiser
On December 3rd, the Shure brand's first integrated completely wireless earphone "AONIC FREE" was released. The Shure brand has a reputation for sound quality and many fans. Therefore, I compared it with Sony "WF-1000XM4", Apple "AirPods Pro", and Sennheiser "MOMENTUM True Wireless 2", which are also gaining support for their high sound quality.
Actually, Shure's completely wireless is not the first product. In 2020, a product called "AONIC 215" will be released. However, this was a product that connected a wireless module with an MMCX connector to the wired earphone “SE215”, in other words, a “wired earphone converted to TWS”. Instead, AONIC FREE is the brand's first TWS that completely integrates earphones and wireless modules. The price is an open price, and the expected store price is around 25,960 yen, which is a luxury model in TWS. There are two colors, Graphite Gray and Crimson Red.
"AONIC FREE". This time we used Crimson RedLet's check out the basic specs and appearance of the AONIC FREE. It is completely wireless that makes use of the structure and components cultivated with Shure IEM, and adopts a 6mm diameter dynamic driver.
Internal innovations include a "vibration damping mechanism" that shields the acoustic area, and a "driver support frame" that stabilizes the driver in order to fully demonstrate the performance of the driver. It also has an acoustic shield that protects the driver itself from impact.
The housing part has a smooth and uneven design, but the inside has a shape that makes it easy to wear on your ears. Details will be described later, but instead of not being equipped with active noise canceling (ANC), it improves the fit with the ears and pursues sound insulation to block outside noise.
We are also particular about call quality, and each of the left and right is equipped with two beamforming microphones designed specifically for calls. The main unit is also equipped with physical buttons that can be used to adjust volume, play/pause, and answer incoming calls. It also has an external sound capture mode, and when you press the button on the earphone or use the PausePlus function on the dedicated app to pause the music, the external sound capture will automatically turn on.
