Construction of AAAS and evolution on the spiral to solve the issues of primary industries in Hiroshima -Mr. Kanamori, Mr. Kanamori
Energear Communications (Enecom), which has a headquarters in Hiroshima and provides information and communication services such as communication lines and data centers, is engaged in various initiatives to create new businesses to solve local issues.
In particular, focusing on primary industries, we are developing business in collaboration with Hiroshima Prefecture and other local governments and universities.
Therefore, in this article, Mr. Yuki Takeda, Manager of Energear Communications Management Strategy Division, Business Development Development Development Development Development Development Development Development Development Division, Inc., including specific initiatives, reasons for the primary industry, and future developments. We talked to the team Mao Kanamori.(Listman: IOTNEWS Koji Koizumi)
Utilize digital in primary industries to solve local issues in the region
Enecom's efforts to solve regional issues began in 2017 to provide experience farms using abandoned cultivated land in Hiroshima Prefecture.
The company operated about 100 experience farms nationwide and had a business tie -up with My Farm Co., Ltd., which operates the Agryinobeshoon University, to provide experience farm services in the Chugoku region.
Behind this is the "weakening of regional communities", such as the decline in local population and the progress of nuclear families, and the "cut of technology inheritance" due to the aging of the primary industry.
Mr. Takeda says that there is a feeling that solving the tasks rooted in these areas in the area can develop the know -how nationwide.
In addition, primary industries are industries that have not become more IT compared to other industries. Therefore, there are many issues that can be solved by incorporating digital into primary industries, and Enecom, which develops information and communication services such as the Internet, has become a flag.
Next to the experience farm service, we worked on the Hiroshima Sandbox, a place for demonstration experiments that utilize AI and IoT and other digital technology.
Run with producers and introduce an advantageous digital
What we worked on in Hiroshima Sandbox is the "AI / IoT demonstration project for the island tilt -tiled land agriculture".
The demonstration field is Osaki Shimojima in the central part of the Seto Inland Sea.In the past, it was called "Golden Island" as a lemon production area, but in addition to the declining population and aging of farmers, the burden on producers is high due to inclined land agriculture, and abandoned cultivated areas have increased year by year due to lack of bearers. It is said.
Therefore, the project started using IoT to improve work efficiency, visualization of technology, inheritance, and reduces labor burden.
The proof content actually worked on is as follows.
Here, ZETA is one of the network standards that LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) is a characteristic that communication capacity is small, but low -power and low cost can be communicated widely.ZETA is a communication that allows the LPWA to be extended into a more wider mesh shape via a relay aircraft.
Regarding the point where the network was built using ZETA, Kanamori said, "There was a high mountain between Farm 1 and Farm 2, so it was difficult to communicate between farms. So, I broadcast ZETA and a good visiting island. He succeeded in connecting the farmland. "
It is interesting that network technology solves terrain problems unique to agricultural IoT.
In addition, since the facilities of this relay machine can be purchased for tens of thousands of yen, it can be expected to reduce the business burden for businesses that try to realize the same thing.
At about 3,000 lemon trees in the farm, a QR code is attached to each one and holding it with a smartphone to easily enter the work history etc. with a chatbot. As a result, data about lemon trees can be accumulated and linked.
In this way, by analyzing the correlation and trends of the work history, vegetation data, and the environmental data around the lemon aircraft due to the sensor, the company was working to model new farmers lemon cultivation know -how.
By developing an AI model that uses the collected data, we will tell you tomorrow's work, "What should I do?"In addition, this initiative is to reflect the operation plan of the farm and the farming plan.
In these initiatives, it is necessary to realize practicality, economic and expandability.Mr. Takeda says that there were many trial and error on the site, such as the development of infrastructure, the usability that anyone can easily use, and the verification of the effects.
"For example, if you want to measure the soil temperature and humidity of the farm, the soil sensor will be inserted into the soil and installed.
Therefore, it turned out that trial and error to find out the cause depends on how the data is removed depending on how the sensor is inserted into the soil.
In addition, when the drone obtained the NDVI value of the farm (a value that shows the status of the plant activation), we used advanced technology to get data with good accuracy, but we actually got data.At first glance, weeds were found to be high in the NDVI value, and often did not go.
We believe that it is important to work with the farmers for each of these things.Rather than simply providing things and services, the purpose is to make the producers use them and feel the benefits.
And I think these initiatives have the unique viewpoint of Enecom, which has provided infrastructure services so far.(Mr. Takeda)
Share agricultural assets to nurture new farmers
And these sandboxes will develop into various businesses.
The first is the demonstration project of the “Shareing Service for the Area,” which is working in Shobara and Shimane in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries with Hiroshima University and others.
In the demonstration project that was working on Hiroshima sandboxes, the approach was to solve the challenges of producers who are currently running farmers, but in the demonstration project of the "Shareing Service for the Area", they will be newly entered as producers. We will also develop a mechanism that can lower the hurdles of farmers.
Takeda says that the best hurdle when entering agriculture as a producer is "capital investment of agricultural machinery, such as combine and rice planting machines," said Takeda.
As a result, many newcomers rented agricultural machinery to start agriculture, but they were limited to farmers and acquaintances in the area.
Therefore, we develop a platform "AAAS ( *)" for reservation systems such as information registration and management of agricultural machinery that is not used in the region, the operation management of agricultural machinery, reservations and claims, and to share agricultural machinery openly.I am experimenting.
Mr. Takeda said, "In order to lower the hurdles of new producers and nurture local producers, they will share local assets well.
Since the hurdles for such new entry are in regions nationwide, I would like to expand this concept in the future.
To do so, it is important to provide not only the mechanism of platform service but also consulting according to each region. He said that he would like to spread the common regional issues of newcomers by capital investment in customized forms in each region.
Accumulation of general -purpose know -how and individualized development as needed
Next, Ene -atom has begun new initiatives in the Hiroshima SEED BOX by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Bureau in 2021 in the Hiroshima -type smart agricultural project.
The business that Enecom is working on in Hiroshima Seed Box is digital utilization in a grape field.
It is a project that makes use of digital in agricultural management, such as collecting field data and improving the quality of grapes using smart glasses.
The specific initiatives are as follows.
In AR Smart Glass, the number and shape of the grains greatly affect grape prices, so they need to be removed accurately. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust while growing so that the grape bunch is appropriate, but to make the balance of the grain in one bunch will be cleaned so that it will be beautifully balanced.
However, since this thinning work had to be done in a few seconds per bunch, I wanted to know which grains should be thinned in an instant with both hands vacant.
Therefore, the head -mounted display type MR device, Holorens and AI, realized a mechanism to tell which grains to thin.
In addition, by acquiring a work record with a chatbot or making a digital twin with drones using drones, we analyze which grapes are formed on the farmland.
In the case of grape grade judgment, veteran farmers have been doing it so far, but here as well, grade judgment is performed using AI image judgment. It is said that grade judgment is performed by estimating weight, discriminating color, and balance of grains.
Furthermore, the timing of irrigation and fertilizer work is performed with the information obtained by the environmental sensor, and if it is not known where and how much is the beast damage countermeasures, a trap cannot be set up.Therefore, he skips the drone at night, grasps where the beast damage is, and clarifies the travel route.
These various initiatives are "the experience of the lemon demons of Hiroshima sandboxes is utilized.
Of course, "lemon" and "grape" have different growing conditions and system necessary for branding, so the issues are different. However, data acquisition and validity of the effectiveness were used in lemon, and the proof of grapes was able to get data smoothly."Says Takeda.
In addition, the technologies and know -how in Hiroshima sandboxes are also used in the efforts of "Beast Damage ICT Demonstration" with Miyoshi City.
In Miyoshi City, harmful beasts, deer and wild boar, were captured by hunting and box traps, and used as a givier.
However, in order to be distributed as a gibier, most have been disposed of because deterioration will progress unless processed immediately after capture.
Therefore, Enecom applies the chatbot mechanism developed in Hiroshima sandbox to convert lemon tree location information and data to convert to grow and know -how.
Specifically, the construction of a system that shares the location information of the capture location using chatbots in the processing site, and the realization of a givier traceability using QR code.
Mr. Takeda said, "Thanks to trial and error in Hiroshima sandbox, we can apply it in new businesses and demonstrations.
The chatbot mechanism used in the Gibier business is changed from the mechanism developed in the lemon business, but I feel that the know -how that can be applied to the traceability of gibier meat has been accumulated."
Fostering young people who create primary industries in the future
In addition, Enecom is working on digital native education involved in the primary industry in cooperation with Hiroshima Prefectural Saijo Agricultural High School (hereinafter referred to as Saijo Agricultural High School).
Specifically, in the Livestock Department of Saijo Agricultural High School, the introduction of a mechanism that can create a breeding record by answering the questions of chatbots of the breeding records that have been recorded on paper so far.In addition, registered breeding records are accumulated as data and can be used for information sharing and analysis.
Takeda says that young people involved in the primary industries in such areas are important to solve local issues such as population decline and aging.
"In this initiative with Saijo Agricultural High School, the students immediately registered the data and used the tools.
Digital is used as necessary, such as being derived from digitalization of breeding records and installing a network camera in the pig house.
The idea is that students involved in the primary industries will take advantage of digital for granted to solve them while using digital when new tasks are created in the future.
In the case of pigs, it is vulnerable to bacteria, so I hope that breeding without people will be realized in the future. He said that the new generation would like to use digital and lead to future issues.
In this way, Enecom has a wide variety of business development, but what is common is the solution to regional issues.
Mr. Takeda said, "I think there are local issues in every region, but if the people, land, and history are different, the shapes of the issues are slightly different. It is important to assemble and create a business while determining what the really necessary services are.
I would like to ultimately solve many regional issues by creating a lot of successful examples of primary industries, which have not easily penetrated digital until now."Was described the future prospects.
